WhatsApp CRM Comparison 2026: LinkSmith vs Wati, AiSensy, Interakt and HubSpot

L linksmith Aug 29, 2026 5 min read

If you’re running a business in India and thinking about automating your WhatsApp — replies, lead capture, bookings — you’ve probably come across the same handful of names: Wati, AiSensy, Interakt, maybe even HubSpot’s CRM. They all promise the same thing: connect to the official WhatsApp Business API, add a chatbot, and turn your inbox into a sales channel.

But the pricing pages don’t tell the whole story. Once you factor in message markups, seat limits, and what “AI chatbot” actually means on each platform, the real cost — and the real capability — looks very different.

Here’s an honest, side-by-side breakdown, including where we think LinkSmith is the stronger pick, and where it isn’t.

Why this comparison matters?

Every platform on this list is built on the same foundation: Meta’s official WhatsApp Business API. None of them “own” WhatsApp — they’re all middlemen sitting between you and Meta, adding a dashboard, automation, and (usually) a markup on every message you send.

So the real questions to ask are:

  1. How much extra are you paying on top of Meta’s own rates?
  2. Is the “AI chatbot” actually AI, or just keyword-triggered auto-replies?
  3. What do you actually get for the base subscription, before add-ons kick in?
  4. Who sets it up — you, or someone on the other end of a support ticket?

Breaking it down

The markup nobody puts on the pricing page

This is the one that catches most businesses off guard. Wati and Interakt both charge a subscription fee and a markup on top of Meta’s own per-message rate — commonly cited around 20% for Wati and 12–15% for Interakt. That means the more you send, the more the platform itself earns on your messaging bill, separate from what you’re already paying Meta.

LinkSmith passes Meta’s message charges through at 0% markup. You still pay Meta directly for what you send — that’s unavoidable on any platform — but we don’t add our own cut on top.

“AI chatbot” means different things

A lot of platforms advertise an AI chatbot, but what’s actually running is a keyword-trigger system: if a customer types “price,” send response A; if they type “hours,” send response B. That’s automation, but it’s not AI — it can’t hold a conversation, qualify a lead, or handle a question it wasn’t explicitly programmed for.

  • AiSensy ships with basic keyword auto-reply out of the box; a true AI chatbot typically needs a separate integration.
  • Interakt only unlocks chatbot flows on its higher-tier plan.
  • HubSpot’s WhatsApp integration isn’t AI-native at all — it’s a messaging channel bolted onto the CRM, not a conversational agent.
  • Wati offers a chatbot builder, but it’s flow-based (if this, then that) rather than a language model that understands intent.

LinkSmith’s AI agent is uncapped and included from the base plan — it can hold a real conversation, qualify a lead, and hand off to a human when it needs to.

Setup cost and who actually does the work

This is where the gap is widest. HubSpot’s WhatsApp integration is typically quoted at $1,500–5,000 for setup when you factor in Meta verification, template approval, and workflow configuration — and that’s before you’re even paying the monthly subscription. Wati and Interakt are self-serve: you get a login and a knowledge base.

LinkSmith’s setup is a flat ₹2,999 one-time fee, and we do the setup with you — WhatsApp Business Manager, template creation, chatbot configuration — rather than handing you a dashboard and a support ticket queue.

Where the other platforms genuinely win

To be fair, this isn’t a one-sided story:

  • Wati has a longer track record and a wider ecosystem of enterprise integrations if you’re running a large support team.
  • AiSensy is a solid low-cost entry point if all you need is broadcast messaging with no AI requirement.
  • Interakt bundles Instagram alongside WhatsApp, which matters if a meaningful share of your leads come from Instagram DMs.
  • HubSpot CRM makes sense if you’re already deep in the HubSpot ecosystem and just need WhatsApp as one more logged channel — not your primary automation layer.

If your business fits one of those situations more than it fits “I want AI-driven WhatsApp automation without markup or setup hassle,” one of the others might genuinely be the better fit.

Who LinkSmith is built for

LinkSmith is built for small and mid-sized businesses — real estate, healthcare, education, and local service businesses — that want WhatsApp to actually replace manual follow-up: instant AI replies, automatic lead qualification, and appointment booking, without paying a markup on every message or a five-figure setup bill to get there.
